​Students will also have all of the training requirements in place to pair with field experience to earn advanced ESA Certifications such as the Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 and the Certified Fire Alarm Technician Level 2 (an approved alternative to NICET Level 2 in many states).

How much does the program cost?
There is no cost to apprentices for the NJELSA Apprenticeship Program. In fact, you will be earning while you learn!
How much will I be paid as I work? Are there benefits?
Pay rates and benefits are determined by the individual company that hires you for the 3-year program. Compensation is hourly, with the average range being $15 - $20 per hour.

Do I need a vehicle?
You will need a reliable method to reach your daily job site or the company headquarters.
What can I do with this certification once I complete it?
This certification opens doors to various business sectors, providing you with valuable experience and the opportunity to specialize in a specific area. You may then start working toward your license in Burglar or Fire Alarms.
